On August 6th, 40 members of Raleigh Bourbon and Banter visited the Weldon Mills distillery for a private tour hosted by co-owner Bruce Tyler. During the day, all members were able to try a variety of Weldon Mills products, learn about their production process and hand bottle their own bottle of Weldon Mills Reserve to take home. This was the first private single barrel selection Weldon Mills has offered to anyone. Members chose from four different 15 gallon barrels, therefore bottle yield was low. About 35 bottles remained for the general public which were sent to Weldon Mills’ retail store and restaurant in Durham. If you would like a bottle, visit their location at 300 E.
